Law Enforcement Access Policy
This policy describes how EliteLnk responds to valid legal requests from law enforcement agencies worldwide.
Last updated — March 1, 2025
EliteLnk takes the privacy of its users seriously and only discloses information to law enforcement in compliance with applicable law. We require valid legal process for any request and scrutinize every submission before responding.
What Information We May Have
Depending on account activity, EliteLnk may maintain the following types of user data:
- Basic account info (name, email, username, registration date)
- IP address logs (retained for up to 90 days)
- Profile content (links, bio, images added by the user)
- Payment records (last four digits, billing address — full card numbers are not stored)
- Device and browser metadata
Legal Standards We Require
EliteLnk evaluates all requests carefully. Different data types require different legal thresholds:
| Legal Threshold | Data Disclosed |
|---|---|
| Subpoena or equivalent | Basic subscriber information (name, email, registration date) |
| Court Order | IP logs, session data, metadata |
| Search Warrant | Content of private messages or detailed account activity |
| Emergency Disclosure | Limited data in imminent risk-to-life situations only |
International Requests
We respond to requests from non-US law enforcement through mutual legal assistance treaties (MLATs) or other applicable legal frameworks. We do not respond to requests that violate applicable law or EliteLnk's policies.
User Notification
Whenever possible and legally permitted, we notify users before disclosing their data in response to a legal request. We will not notify users when:
- Prohibited by court order or applicable law
- The situation involves an emergency involving risk of death or serious physical harm
- Notification would be counterproductive to an ongoing investigation
What We Do Not Do
Hard Limits
- We do not provide voluntary access to user data without legal process.
- We do not have or provide backdoors into our systems.
- We do not respond to requests via informal means (email, phone, social media).
- We do not sell user data to any entity, including law enforcement agencies.
How to Submit a Request
All law enforcement requests must be submitted in writing on official agency letterhead. Requests submitted through other channels will not be processed.
